Hello, my name is Janina Scarmon. I rezzed into Second Life for the first time in October 2008. I live in a coastal town called Twilight. I have my own island there, and I enjoy landscaping and decorating it to go along with each of the seasons of the year. I have enjoyed roleplay in a medieval sim and have worked as a customer service representative at a club (which has since closed) on the LVS fashion sim. I am in the process of taking classes in various Second Life skills, including scripting and building. I am also in the Guiding Lights Program, which gives me basic skills to help others in Second Life and is designed to prepare me to be an effective peer mentor.

I am also a model and a graduate of the UVogue and SuperElite Modeling Academies. Since I am not currently signed to one particular modeling agency, I enjoy choosing the modeling assignments that I participate in. I believe that fashion is an essential part of the creative world of Second Life. Fashion helps to create who we are, as well as help to decorate and influence the world around us  I enjoy modeling as part of helping others more than for myself. I try to take on the assignments that help to raise money for charity or awareness for special causes.

I believe that making positive connections between Second Life and real life are very important, especially if I want to serve as Miss Virtual World. Participating in events and making connections with organizations that create a bridge between the two worlds will allow me to help those causes and issues which I feel need attention, including helping content creators to keep others from stealing the beautiful creations that they bring to Second Life. Those creations represent real world talent and creativity which has been brought in-world to help fashion the world known as Second Life.
